Sourdough is the oldest form of naturally leavened bread, meaning it uses a mix of lactic acid and wild yeast instead of baker’s yeast. It is long fermented in a two-day process, which means it is easier to digest than traditional breads and can act as a prebiotic, feeding the good bacteria in your intestines. It is also less likely to spike your blood sugar. It has no preservatives, so it is best eaten within two to three days. Our products freeze well, and we include freezing/storing instructions when purchased. Sourdough is always baked on the day its sold, unless otherwise stated, for maximum freshness.
